A Low-Voltage AC, Low-Voltage DC, and High-Voltage DC Power Distribution System with Grid: Design and Analysis

Low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) DC distribution systems are being investigated as alternatives due to the growth of energy resources (DER), loads such solar wind power systems, storage sources (ESSs). Furthermore, an HV/LV system offers various advantages, including lower conversion losses, easier connecting strategy for DERs, less complex management techniques. As renewable increasingly incorporated into electrical grid, it is important create novel, effective approaches loads. It would hence be merge with AC fulfill demands both consumers. To this end, study proposes a multizone design four buses: low-voltage direct current (LVDC), (HVDC), alternating (LVAC), grid. A model that covers crucial elements, DER electronic devices, serve foundation analysis architecture proposed. MATLAB/Simulink used conduct simulation verify performance proposed design. In study, hybrid grid LVDC, HVDC, LVAC network test implemented. Additionally, transient steady-state characteristic performed.
